Vision

Sustainable economic prosperity through the creation of a globally competitive regional workforce enabled by a market-responsive education and training system is CARICOM’s vision for TVET. This vision is in line with that of the OECS Education Sector Strategy (OESS) which aims to provide opportunities for all learners to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to progress to further education and training and productive employment. Saint Lucia’s Medium Term Development Strategic Plan 2012 has as one of its objectives, the provision of quality TVET within a flexible framework to allow for changing labour market needs.
