As an assessor, you are required to evaluate the competency of the skills transferred to persons using the standard of a particular field. Trainers are to use the units within the standard to ensure that the skills are attained by the students. Demonstration of the skills is the most frequent mode of assessment to ascertain the competency level of students. I have found the skills transferred are well within the standard requirements. However due to nerves during the assessment many errors are made which when students are given another opportunity at performing the skill attained competency at the respective skill.
Being assessed in Customer Service was overall a good learning experience for me. I learnt quite a number of things especially from the first aid training which was my first one. I believe that if one day an emergency was to occur at work, I would be more than able to assist myself and colleagues. The units I was assessed on have given me added knowledge to provide better customer service to clients on a daily basis.
